There have been some questions out there about our buddies at No Sports Allowed. A few folks have wondered if they are making fun of the hand that feeds them, the paying customers, or sports.
I have known those guys for a long time and I can tell you that is not the case. No Sports Allowed is a time when the fellas get away, off the clock and get rowdy fishing the waters they love. All of us have times in our fishing career where we are sports, but we all know and understand how precious the times are when we can get away with the fellas and cut loose.
Anywho, here is a video put together by our boys over at No Sports that explain what these guys are all about.

‘No Sports Allowed’ Cowboy Style

No Sports Allowed Volume 1 How we do
Double R Productions is up to its typical rowdiness again. They are showing another airing of their awesome flick ‘No Sports Allowed’ Volume 1 How we do.
It is raw and uncut! It showcases the life of long time buddies and guides on their days off in their own backyard.
Here are the details:
- Place: Jackson Hole, WY
- Address: Pink Garter Theater. 50 West Broadway.
- Time: Doors open at 7:30pm. Show begins at 8pm.
- Date: Friday August 14th, 2009
- Why: Because it is one of the rawest, rowdiest, and purest fly fishing videos out there. Plus there will be $2000 worth of Schwag that will be raffled off.
- Lastly Cuz, that’s HOW WE DO!
There will also be an after party at Cutters where Double R Productions will sponsor a few Kegs.

Tonight is the night that the Fly Fishing Film world sees a new kind of video! A Production from Double R Prodcutions that captures the excitement and wonderment of fly fishing Idaho’s remarkable waters. A time when buddies break away from the ‘Sports’ and let loose. What can you expect?
- There will also be clips of some of the great fly fishing videos that have been cast this year.
- There will be Schwag.
- There will be some food and drinks.
- There will be a raffle and some giveaways.
- There will be non stop rowdiness

“NO SPORTS ALLOWED” Volume 1 Premier
Friday July 10th, 2009 will be an epic day in the world of Fly Fishing!
This will be the day that the Fly Fishing Community by and large will see a new type of fly fishing video. One that captures the excitement, beauty, and energy of the great sport in our own backyard! It won’t showcase helicopter only trips to remote regions of Siberia or fishing the tropical flats of the Caribbean (not that we are against that, we actually think that rocks!), but rather the rowdiness of Fly Fishing Idaho’s fabled waters.
With original music from MacRowdy himself, Double R Productions showcases the adventure that exists when good buddies leave the ‘Sports’ behind and let loose in an area that is full of fantastic fly fishing.
This film is different than other fly fishing films. It isn’t a remote area or an expensive trip that prohibits many from venturing to those tropical places. Rather, it is a place where all anglers could visit and have similar experiences without the inhibitions that limit participation.

I just got done having dinner with two rowdy fellas Marc Crapo and Royce Klingler from Double R Productions. As far as fly fishing Idaho and fly fishing period, these guys rock. They showcase it in one of the rowdiest fly fishing movies I’ve ever seen, “No ‘Sports’ Allowed Volume 1″. Here is a small snippet.
