Frenzy Giveaway!
About 4 months ago we had our first Frenzy Giveaway and the winner was none other than Rhode Island’s very own John Troiano! The Giveaway generated a ton of buzz.
I ventured up to Jackson Hole and met John at Double R Productions showing of ‘No Sports Allowed’ Volume 1′. We chatted for a bit and he brought me some famous Del’s Lemonade straight from Rhode Island!
It was great to meet John, and he said he had an absolutely fantastic time.
Well Frenzy Nation, we want to do another GIVEAWAY!
Here are the details:
Fly Fishing Frenzy is giving away a 3 day 2 night stay at our Cabin in Victor, Idaho (20 miles west of Jackson Hole, Wyoming) in Teton Springs The Development has a 27 hole golf course designed by Golf legend Byron Nelson, PGA Touring Professional Steve Jones, and top golf course architect Gary Stephenson. Teton springs also has many ponds around the development stocked with Native Cutthroat and Brook Trout.
The area is ripe with great fly fishing. Not only will you find trout taking flies on the ponds surrounding the golf course in Teton Springs, but here are a few rivers/creeks that are within a short drive
- Teton River
- South Fork of the Snake
- Henry’s Fork of the Snake,
- and many more.
Jackson Hole is a short 25 minute drive over the pass and the nightlife over there is much better than in Victor. You definitely will not be disappointed.
Here is how the Giveaway works. It is really simple, there is only one way to put your name into the running.
- Enter your email below to subscribe to our blog (make sure it is a valid email and one you use because that is the only way we will be able to contact the winner) and we will do a drawing on October 10th 2009 out of the list of current subscribers at that time.
- The winner will be announced on our Blog that day.
- The winner will need to send over 2 – 3 potential dates that work for him/her and we will get it on the calendar.

What is the perfect couple?

After my last little fishing trip up to the South Fork of the Snake it made my think about that is the best, most poplur and or most favorite two fly combo? Now, I know that it will depend on the river, time of year, sub surface or dries and possibly many other scenarios that might call for different combos but I want to know what is the most successful or favorite. I guess I should explain further about why I pose this question. When Aaron “Chubbs” Peterson and I floated the South Fork, of course this time of year, all we used were dries and the best combo between the two days was a true hopper and a trailing caddis. This combo killed it, the fish took both flies pretty consistently. Now, on the Provo River I would say after years of fishing that the best dry fly combo would be a Parachute Adams /PMD and for nymphing is Scud/Flashback Pheasant Tail. Ok, so I could go through all my favorite rivers and list all the combos I use but I want to hear from all the Frenziers. Please comment and tell us what river and what combo of flies is your favorite. If we can get 30 comments we will do a drawing for a Frenzy hat.

It’s about time the Frenzy did a Give-Away
Alright Frenzy Nation, the Fly Fishing Frenzy is giving away a 3 day 2 night stay at our Cabin in Victor, Idaho (20 miles west of Jackson Hole, Wyoming) in the Teton Springs Development.
The Development is a 27 Hole Johnny Miller Golf Course with many ponds around the development stocked with Native Cutthroat and Brook Trout. I know that for many of our readers/subscribers it might be a ways to travel to Victor, but the journey will be well worth it.
