Huntington Creek
Fly Fishing Only!!

This last weekend I went to my cabin in Fairview Utah for a little R&R (and fishing) with the family and the one and only Whalen family. I had planned a few weeks before going down that I wanted to hit up one of my favorite places to fish, Huntington Creek. Obviously I invited Sean to come but the only problem with Huntington Creek for a beginner is that it is tough. It really is a baptism by fire scenario with lots of trees surrounding a smaller river and combining that with having to be very stealthy makes for a frustrating day if you don’t know what you are doing. We pulled up and it was cold so we left the car running got all geared up and headed out. We came up to a nice little run going under a small embankment with some trees and my first cast hooked into a nice 13inch brown. After that it was all just fun and games. Sean caught his first trout on a nymph and was lovin it. Needless to say we got into them for a few hours and had tons of fun.
I suggest to all Frenziers that we plan a couple night stay at my cabin and hit all the lakes and streams around there. We would kill it and I am sure that it would take us at least two or three days to hit all the good water.
