Fly Fishing Flim Tour

I think most of you have heard of the Trout Bum Diaries and have watch all or some of their videos, well they have a new one and they have released their tour dates for this coming year.  Just to inform you a bit about the AEG Media Group, here’s some info form their site.

“AEG Media (AEG) is an adventure media company, based out of Portland OR, our mission is to revolutionize the way the world sees fly-fishing through great adventure media and community. The films AEG produces are not the average instructional videos that are seen today, they are instead high-energy, adrenaline rushing, expedition documentaries. Our films follow the adventures of four fish bums: Chris Owens, Thad Robison, Justin Crump and Brian Jill – The Angling Exploration Group. They are dedicated to the success of AEG through their love of fly-fishing and conservation. Established in 2005, AEG has grown exponentially in the past two years, with three full-length feature films produced, a successful film tour and online fly fishing community”……”AEG’s lasting legacy is achieved by the Fly Fishing Film Tour. Our mission is made visible by this annual event. Now in it’s 3rd year, the film tour will travel to 40+ U.S. cities this year. In the future we plan to take the film tour international to destinations such as the UK, Australia and Japan”…. “continue reading

Unreal fishing RIG

I came across a fly fishing website a few days ago called Fly Fishing the Globe.  This site was amazing.  Dan T. Cook a while ago made a transition from his day job in Energy Trading to Adventure Traveling.  He recently finished up a 75,000 mile around the world trip that included places like Alaska, Brazil, Russia, South Africa and New Zealand just to name a few.  If you check out his site you can see all the journal entries from all the places he fished.  Here is excerpt from his site:

“Greetings from HOME! The trip has been completed! In total the adventure covered 25 countries, 27 months and over 75,000 miles. I caught 62 different species of fish, drank 63 different brands of beer and met hundreds of new people, many of which are now very good friends. I am truly fortunate to have made this journey”

The coolest thing on the site was the RIG that he built.  I took some of the pictures from the site so you can see how FREAKING cool this is and how some day I envision a Fly Fishing Frenzy RIG.
