Fly Fishing Utah

falcons ledge fly fishingFalcon’s Ledge, Orvis Endorsed Lodge was named the 2012 Fly Fishing Lodge of the Year.   I have been to this lodge and I can honestly say it is one of the nicest lodges I have ever been too.  I was able to visited the lodge for one of the Falcon’s Ledge fly tying retreats this past year and had a blast with great people.  This year the Lodge is going to have its best year ever.

We have teamed up with the lodge to offer a Fly Fishing Frenzy retreat at the end of the summer.  They have offered us 10 spots for a 3 day 4 night guided trip September 19th to the 24th.  We have secured a huge discount for anyone that wants one of these spots, $1865.00 per person normally $2235.   We already have a couple spots taken for this unbelievable trip.  The big disclaimer is we need at least 6 people to get this awesome discount.

This is how you reserve your spot.  Call Falcons Ledge at Phone: (435) 454-3737 – Toll Free: (877) 879-3737 and let them know you are with the Frenzy group for that weekend, also email us and let us know you want to come and we can help with the booking.  50% deposit is required at time of reservation. Non-refundable but can be used for a future reservation.

Our group will have the entire lodge to ourselves so it will be a blast.  Everyone that books a trip will get a Falcons Ledge gift bag with some swag, Fly Fishing Frenzy Shirt and the book “Greatest Fishing Lodges of North America”.

Among 15 private lakes that surround the lodge, that are all ours to fish, there are many rivers and streams the guides can take us too.  We can also book a day on the Green River for extra $100 a person.  Here are the rivers we have access too:

  • Rock Creek
  • Duchesne River
  • Lake Fork River
  • Uintah River
  • Yellowstone River
  • Whiterocks River
  • Green River

If that doesn’t excite you then check out these pics and videos:

Here is more info about the Fly Fishing at the Lodge:

We have added exclusive Forest Service permits to guide the Whitrocks and Uintah Rivers, only a short distance from the lodge these secluded fly fishing waters offer new and exciting options for you on your next visit. You can also enhance your next trip with a stop on the Weber or Provo River on your drive to or from the lodge. We can also arrange a day floating the famous Green River below Flaming Gorge dam.

Located near Park City and Salt Lake City this Utah fly fishing lodge is easy to get to. Visit Falcon’s Ledge for a fly fishing vacation – fly fishing trip to remember. If you don’t know how to fly fish, we can teach you in one of our fly fishing schools.

A single fly fishing trip can be filled with many different angling experiences. One day you might sight cast to big wary browns and rainbows on a clear cold tailwater or toss attractors to wild cutthroats and brookies in forested freestone streams above 8000 feet. The next day of your fly fishing vacation you might hit undercut banks with hoppers on secluded water at the Lake Fork River Ranch or cast to huge cruisers in our private stillwaters. With many stream and river fishing options within easy driving distance and access to sixteen trophy stillwaters you’ll never run out of things to try, or simply find your favorite and stick with it. Whether you’re a beginning fly fisher, an expert, or somewhere in between, you’re sure to be provided an enjoyable angling experience. Visit the guest photos pageto see some of the fish our guests have caught and some of the places they have fished.

Ours is the grandest sport. It is an intriguing battle of wits between an angler and a trout; and in addition to appreciating the tradition and grace of the game, we play it in the magnificent out-of-doors.
Ernest G. Schwiebert, Jr.

Some guided fly fishing trips can be run more like a bus tour than a fly fishing vacation. You start each day at a specific time. You stop at your assigned “beat” for an exact amount of time, lunch is served at a predetermined time and then back on the bus to the next “beat”.

Not at Falcon’s Ledge. This is your fly fishing vacation and we are here to assist you and make it enjoyable for you at your pace. Our guides are ORVIS® trained professionals who have decades of experience fishing the waters of Falcon’s Ledge. They have fished all over the west and fish year round. Let our guides show you the secrets of ourrivers and streams and the unique character of each stillwater. They enjoy sharing their knowledge of the area’s history, geology, flora and fauna. Our guides are staunch stewards of nature, and active conservationists. Your guide will help you improve your casting and presentation skills, and help new anglers with knots, reading the water, stream entomology and how to match the hatch. All needed fly fishing equipment is included, including flies. We have the newest ORVIS® rods and reels for you to use.

The great Utah fly fishing is only part of your adventure. You will stay in one of eight private guest rooms in the lodge. Each room has a private bath and reflects the comfortable elegance of Falcon’s Ledge. Three memorable meals are included with each day of fly fishing; our culinary staff prepares their legendary country gourmet fare from the freshest and highest quality ingredients available. After a day of fishing and a great meal, relax in the great room, TV room, or shoot pool in the game room. Sit out on the deck under the milky way and get ready for another great day of fishing. Wireless internet access can keep you connected to the real world if you must.

Our Pro-Shop offers ORVIS® gear as well as fly tying tables to produce that special pattern your guide suggests, and a large selection of Falcon’s Ledge logo clothing and gifts.
