wasatch fly tying and fishing expoThis weekend is one of the biggest fly fishing events of the year in Utah.  The Wasatch Fly Tying and Fishing Expo will be this Friday and Saturday and is packed full of fly fishing vendors, fly tiers, giveaways, competitions, a banquet and fly fishing classes.  This years event is going to be held at the South Town Expo Center in Sandy.  Each year this event has exponentially increased in size and doesn’t seem to be slowing down.  I have attended each of the last three years with last year attending a couple classes.  The best thing this year is the admission is only $1 and kids under 15 are free.

Last year one of the classes I attended was a Euro Nymphing class taught by Lance Egan.  This class was one of the most info packed and coolest fly fishing lesson I had ever received.   I can honestly say that these classes are taught by some amazing fly fisherman and even if you have been fishing for years you will learn and improve your skills if you attend one of some of these classes. Sign up for classes here.

Here is more info about the event.
