Spent about 2 hours at the ISE show Saturday morning. I was kind of disappointed this year, there were much less fly fishing booths this year then last. I did have fun and took pictures of my favorite booths.
FYI, Falcons Ledge is doing a give away right now. If you like the Falcon’s Ledge page on Facebook then you are entered into a Orvis fly rod give-a-away.
New booth this year was Hendrix Outdoors. Based out of Nevada they have some great products. I took a close look at the waders and some of their guide jackets. I think they it would be worth looking at their gear if you are in the market for rods, reels, waders, boots and jackets. they are strictly a wholesaler so you will need to find a shop that carries their stuff. I know that Scuds fly shop up Weber canyon does.
I can’t remember the name of the company but they had some really good but inexpensive polarized sun glasses. I have lost a couple pair over the past year so I picked up a two new pair at the show. I thought it was a good price for a decent product.
Talked to Chris Barkey about the progress and things are going well. Just over the past few weeks they have raised over a few thousand dollars to fight for our water rights. Check out the Utah Stream Access Coalition website to find out more about the fight.
The coolest thing I saw at the show was from Vest Pac. They have a unique product specific for fly anglers. The way I can explain it is it chest pack made of neoprene with a ton of bells and whistles. I use a lanyard a ton and I can see this replacing it. I tired it on and I imediately loved it. Check out their site for more info.
