Higa’s S.O.S

Frenzy Flies, Reviews

higa's s.o.s. flyI have been asked about 10 times this past week where people can get the S.O.S fly. I talked to Spencer Higa from Falcon’s Ledge and Utah Fly Guides and he gave me the link where you can order it from Orvis.  He will do special orders for people but the quickest and easiest way to get the fly is from Orvis.  I have talked up his S.O.S fly for the past year not because Spencer is a friend but because it really is one the best flies I have ever used.  I have grown up using a flash back pheasant tail as my goto nymph fly but I can honestly say that it has changed ever since I have tied on a Higa’s S.O.S.  I have used it on many different rivers and different times of year and it always produces.  The best thing about this fly is that you can be having a tough day on the river where fish are being very selective and you can throw on an S.O.S and start catching fish.

what video of how to tie it, you can also buy one with the link below.  Higa’s SOS video

below is the link where you can order it.

Also to help out Spencer if you have ever used the fly go and leave a review about the fly on Orvis’s site.

Very nice looking fly. Super versatile. Could be a midge, could be a mayfly nymph…and with the red it makes for a great attractor as well.
