Some good friends of mine at the Missoula Children’s Theater, in of course Missoula Montana, wanted me to share some info about an auction they are having this Saturday. the MCT is celebrating “Around the World in 40 Years”, read below for more info. Among many other items and trips they are going to be auctioning off a huge fly fishing trip to highest bidder, to Cinco Rios Lodge in Coyhaique Chile. I have it on good authority from an insider that this trip will go at a fraction of the cost due to the fact that they don’t think a lot of people will bid on it. Now I know that because I am putting it on our blog that it will only increase the competition for this trip but they asked for some help and I told them I would help out. After all it is a fundraiser for a great organization. Don’t worry if you don’t live there or can’t make it tot he auction you can bid on any trip by proxy. I have attached the all the info and proxy vote sheet at the end of the post.
Here is some info about the fly fishing trip:

Here is some info about the Theatre:
The Missoula Children’s Theatre was founded in 1970 by Jim Caron and Don Collins. Initial productions featured a company of adults performing for children. In its second season, MCT began to feature children as performers, a concept that has become the basis of most of MCT’s programs and activities. Today the Missoula Children’s Theatre International Tour is the most extensive touring children’s theatre project in the US, serving nearly 1,200 communities annually in all 50states and 14 countries, including more than 100 US military bases around the world.
It works like this:
A little red truck pulls into a town with everything needed to mount a full-scale musical production….except the cast.
That’s where the kids come in. On Monday, they are cast as characters. By Saturday, they’ve gained character—the kind that really counts. Throughout the week, the kids will have fun learning lines, songs and dances. And they’ll learn that, if they work hard…if they push themselves…they can create something wonderful!
For 40 years, the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s mission has been the development of life skills in children through participation in the performing arts. Life skills critical to success like self-esteem, social and communication skills, self-discipline and a strong work ethic, a sense of individual identity and respect and tolerance for others.
This year, more than 65,000 children will participate in an MCT week.
