A little ice…on white Friday

November 30, 2010

Weber River

I have now officially named the day after Thanksgiving as “White Friday” instead of black Friday.  The last few years I have fished the day after Thanksgiving and it has been snowing and extremely cold each time.  Fished the Weber River last Friday and YES you guessed it cold as hell and tons of snow.  We didn’t have any luck but it was better to be on the river than to be stuck in a house. We lasted about an hour due to the fact that our line and flies were blocks of ice and would float on the water instead of sink.  It was beautiful and as funny as it may sound enjoyable.
