Day 1 of Frenzy Trip
Blackfoot River
Day one for this years Fly Fishing Frenzy Started in Idaho on the Blackfoot River. Us Utah boys woke up Wednesday about 3am and headed out hoping to get into some nice fish before meeting up with the Idaho boys to do a float on the South Fork of the Snake (Lorenzo to Manan). Three of Utah boys had never fished the Blackfoot so we were all excited to hit it. We had a tough time getting the big Cutts to chase our flies but we landed a bunch of small ones. The best thing about that morning is the area is absolutely beautiful.
We met up with Chubbs and fellas at the Lorenzo put in on the South Fork of the Snake. We floated that the rest of the day and had a blast. Their was a great PMD hatch and we landed a ton of fish.

Day two of the Frenzy the group split up, some of us went to Bitch Creek and others went to the Henry’s Fork (Harriman State Park). Between the two rivers the styles couldn’t be more different. Overall we had great days. Harriman State Park lived up to its reputation and beat us up pretty bad.
