Hey thanks for the input Larry, you of all people know a good fly shop when you see one. I thought about adding some shops up there, but to tell you the truth I have never been to one in Logan or Angler’s Den so I had nothing to run with, but i’ll have to make it up that way and check them out in the future cause if you say they are top notch I believe you. I really should have spent more time on this and added why I chose each selection and the highlights of each. For example, I really like supporting small shops and hanging out with knowledgeable guys, but I also really like the amount of fly tying selections Sportsmans has at a cheaper price, so I sometimes go there for fly tying gear. I also go to Cabela’s because its close to where I live, great staff, and I like to get the latest news from Lance. So basically this list is just of my own personal favorites and nothing against other shops around the state that also provide excellent service. (Also Larry as a side note my wife is telling me to tell your boy hi, she used to be his Sunday school teacher -Liz Lancaster in Orem)

Great pick on the shops! I agree with all of those minus one... I really could not believe when I saw Sportsmans Warehouse on this list. I've got to be honest when I say they have got to have probably the worst selection of quality flies and low quality tying materials and cheaply made equipment I've ever used and experienced, not to mention good luck finding a fly that is an actual size 18 or smaller there. Just my two cents is all. Keep up the amazing website. I really love coming here nearly weekly.

I'd include Angler's Den and the Logan shops. I'd also put them ahead of most big box or general sporting stores since big entities seldon keep top fly fishing expertice on staff very long. Cabelas is the exception since their fly shop and staff is self-contained. Just my .02 worth.
