Small Stream Fishing

Hobble Creek

I decide to go fish an old favorite of mine from a few years ago, Hobble Creek.  I guess it is just a typical small stream with over hanging trees and pocket water.  This along with Tibble Fork and Huntington Creek is among my favorite small streams to fish in Utah.  I took some video of the creek so enjoy.

Hoss, A man after my own heart with the little creeks! Pretty looking browns. Any cutts higher up? Love the little video blogs–keep it up.

I think you got your hands on a green drake nymph. Maybe a grandis grandis or a grandis ingens. Both are native to your neck of the woods and are quite large in the nymphal stage. Dun stage is a body with shades of green and grayish lead wings. kind like a BWO on steroids!

Yea, I’ve actually fished it 4 or 5 times in the past weeks. Great action on top sun or snow 😉

Great place to fish. I hit this up every weekend last summer. It is about 45 mins from my house and my favorite place to go. I went one week and fished all the way up to where the powerhouse is… right before it I caught a 19″ on a huge dry fly! Totally awesome! I have a couple pics if you want to see, just thought I’d share.
