Fly Fishing Utah I’ve heard many people that go fly fishing utah’s Provo River that there aren’t many big fish on the Upper Provo. The Middle and Lower always hold decent fish, but Upper Provo was mainly a small fish fishery. Well, I beg to differ. Royce and I went up to Woodland Utah to

Fly Fishing Frenzy 2010 Friday morning we all packed up camp from Riverside Campground in Island Park and headed up to the Madison River between Hebgen and Quake Lakes. We stopped in to the Slide Inn to see Kelly Gallup and pick up some of those living flies. The Utah boys fished the area just

Day three started and ended on the Madison River. We actually started it off at the slide inn getting all the latest hatch info from Kelly Galloup and at the same time buying up some of his famous streamer flies. We hit the river mid morning landing some good fish nymphing some good holes and

by Bryan K. Eldredge Utah Fly Guides My teenage daughter’s text message said, “You’re stupid for running out of gas!” I knew she was kidding, but I was stupid. And the real stupidity was that I had run out of gas along Utah’s Provo River with a truckload of fishing gear, but not one fly

I was planning on going to Missoula for work this weekend and on the way I was going to fish the Beaverhead but I stayed home to attend some important family activities. I figured I needed to get on the water to try and make up for not hitting Montana waters. I decided to do

I had the honor this past week to take on the Provo River a young man from Missoula Montana. My business partner Matt had his younger brother Blake came down to Utah for spring break to spend time with family and one of things that he wanted to do was go fly fishing. He had

Last Saturday I was feeling good enough so I gathered up the troops and headed up to the lower Provo River. I had heard from The “Dr” that there had been some amazing hatches during the week and it would most likely be the same on Saturday. I tied up some BWO’s and Midges the

Chubbs, we should go this Sat or maybe Fri after 10am. Last time I was there on my b-day 2 1/2 weeks ago, I landed an ok 6 pounder that took me into my backing cause I was using 6x and didn’t want to lose it. Let me know. Also during the week, if you are able to get away for a couple hours we should hit the Provo. It is fishing great and its not an all day thing. I have hit it for the past two nights and i’m home by 6pm (3:30-5:30pm) Dr.G out

Check out the 5th and 6th pics and the narly mice hanging form those mid-night Green River trout. That is one of my favorite ways to fish the Green-full moon, stripping mouse patterns in the riffles…Then Bam! a big trout nails it…This ins’t a little fishes game only the big fish can play… Also notice on pic six…I’m sporting the Frenzy 07 t-shirt…Its one of my two lucky fishing shirts. If anyone wants to do a little f’ing anyday from 2pm-dark:30, let me know…I am free almost everyday and need and excuse to tell my wifey…Dr G. Out

Yeah, I’ll be in New York Nov 29th- Dec 4th and Snowboarding the 5th and 6th. But besides then I am pretty much free. Traditionally the lake freezes around the first of Dec so unless you want to hit the ice we better plan something around thankgiving weekend. What night or nights can you hit the Provo?

Well done Dr. G! Why are you holding back though? I’ve seen your picture collage before and I know you have like 20 more pictures of 7+ lb. pigs! Thanks for being modest and not rubbing it in too much. You know what they say, “It’s one thing to lust after a man’s wife, but it’s an entirely different thing to lust after a man’s moster fish collage,” or something like that. I was going to hit the provo tomorrow with big hoss, but my Grandma has picked up a very untimely illness and needs to move in with my Mom. I have to help her move from Logan. If only she could have waited one more day!!! Fish on f’ers!
