Frenzy, Logan River, Thoughts

Thanks to Travis for the great recap on the Frenzy 08 and thanks to Hostess for making Zingers.  I don’t have any pictures but I was able to fish the Logan River up Logan canyon last week. I don’t fish it often enough to know where all the good spots are but it is such a beautiful area. As corny as it sounds I can’t help but think how much fly fishing means to me and how much I have grown to love standing in a river among the mountains and tress hunting for that perfect fish. To me it is such a spiritual experience to fish my favorite waters and even better is sharing those moments with others. I can’t wait to get my boy Max out on the river and fish side by side in the some of the most amazing places in the world that we have within hours of our doors steps.

“To go fly fishing is the chance to wash one’s soul with pure air, with the rush of the brook, or with the shimmer of sun on blue water. It brings meekness and inspiration from the decency of nature, charity toward tackle-makers, patience toward fish, a mockery of profits and egos, a quieting of hate, a rejoicing that you do not have to decide a darned thing until next week. And it is discipline in the equality of men – for all men are equal before fish.”- Herbert Hoover

[…] River I have never really had good success.  Steve spent his college years at USU and fishing the Logan River so I knew he would know where to go.  He mentioned to go up past Tony Grove and fish Rock Bank.  […]
